The results of the first FCA annual financial crime survey of over 2,000 UK firms, across the financial sector, are available below. The survey gives a collective view of the activity being undertaken by firms in the UK to combat financial crime across the industry.

The survey covers four main areas:

  • the number of customers deemed to pose a higher risk of financial crime
  • an overview of the work that industry is doing to tackle financial crime
  • industry views on fraud risks
  • firms’ view of country risks

Firms submitted returns to the survey during 2017, providing data for the previous 12-month period.
